The first event of the day was mass it took an hour but its the most important thing of the day. There a mass is held especially for the quinceanera she has to sit up in the altar and trust me it's very uncomfortable if your the kind to hate being in front of people.
These were my damas and chambelanes usually it should be 14 guys and 14 guys making me and my guy of honor 15 but sometimes it's just to hard to get all those people to get there. What they do is help me out with my special dance or waltz.
Here are me and my chambelan de honor (guy of honor) He should always usually be part of the family but if you don't have any one your age or just taller than you then a friend will do. In my case he's my causin. He is usually with me all time well not all night but untill the special dance starts, he's like my escort.
Here is my first special dance with my dad. It's the first dance the quinceanera does with her father. In mine the little girls are representing my childhood. This dance was to me the most emotional one of the night.
After I danced with my dad he changed my little girl slippers into my high heels that I was going to use from the on. I was then being transformed into a young lady.
Then after the slipper change my godmother crowns me. Representing I'm the special girl of the night. Usually before the crowning the quinceanera wears a flower tierra and after that they change it to the crown.
After all the crowning and slipper changing I dance with my chambelanes (the guys) This dance can be danced many different ways but in mine I chose something simple so that they would learn the steps faster and not mess up although they did mess up. But it turned out pretty good.
Then we make a toast for the quinceanera. To hope for the best in her life and so that she has a great future full of exciting and good things. And no the shampaine had no alcohol at all it was just juice. Fun right!
This is me on the cake no I didn't really get on the cake obviously because half of my body is missing to tell you the truth I didn't even taste that cake.
And of course your family. It's very important to the quinceanera that her family is with her. Thanks to them she lives in this world and she has what she has and her dreams of having a quinceanera came true thanks to them.
